ADI (ASIA DISABILITY INSTITUTE) was established in 1990 in Hachioji, Japan. It aims to promote independence of persons with disabilities in Asia through;
1) increased understanding on the concept of independent living and development of independent living movement
2) physical and technical assistance to self-help groups of persons with disabilities
3) support to international exchange programs among persons with disabilities
4) information dissemination and social education on disabilities concerns in Asia
@@Since information on disabilities in Japan has been scarcely disseminated, ADI is happy to let you know what are happening in Japan in the field of disability as one of its activities.
