In Japan, there are some Budhism traditions. Most of them are same as Hermetic tradition. A Budhist mage may accept +2 dice to vanishing instead of giving up Elemetal conjuring.(Watcher is OK.) Elemental conjuring is not belong to Budhism but vanishing evil spirits is. So a Budhism mage must choose one. (Budhism mage may choose 5 way Elementals of Onmyou. Because Onmyou and Japanease Budhism shared long history of learning from each other.)
Some traditions are unique. Here are three such traditions.
Zen, Mikkyou and Hokke.
[Hokke]
Hokke tradition is known by political influence. In 20th century, political party of Hokke existed. In 2050's, Hokke has political party too. Public Enlightment Party is the name. PEP itself is not so influencible party but it has many magical members. So some members of PEP make relations with megacorps and Hokke mages are often found the crosspoint of politic and economy. Hokke mages themselves are not so special. Their favorite is debate. That's all.
[Mikkyou]
Mikkyou mages(Syugenja) stand with strong confidence to their own magical power. They get their power from severe trainings in deep mountain. They often make ordeal and geasa. They don't hesitate to use their magical power. They are welcome to the chance to try their power. Not like another types of mage, they often lacked balance in training, so -1 dice to Health spells and +1 dice to Manupilation spells. Mikkyo mage can't conjure Elemetals. But they can conjure Goho-Doji. Goho-Doji is a kind of watcher but more competent than watcher. Conjuring procedure of Goho-Doji is same as watcher but Goho-Doji has such data.
[Zen]
Zen mages are truth seeker with meditation. They often seek the truth in the poors. Zen mages in truth quest never choose lifestyle higher than low-life.
Typical Zen mages are very wise and they firstly tried to avoid conflict with their wisdom. Combat is the last choice of them. But they never waste their time when there is no other way. Zen mages in 2050s' street are very witty and humorous. They laugh away every hypocrisy and vanity as joke.
Zen mages may not cast Combat spells. But they accept +2 dice to detection spells.
Temple Force
Some famous temples have its force. They called So-Hei. It means soldior of priest. Most of temples what can keep So-Hei have some relations with goverments or corporate.
