APRIL

Admission Ceremony

  • First year students come to our school for the first time.
  • The second and third year students welcome the new students.

Welcome Party by the Student Council

  • The second and third year students introduce their club activities and school life.

Medical Examination

  • All students must take a medial examination to check their height, weight, eyes and ears.


MAY

Third-year Graduation Trip

  • Third year students have a 'Graduation Trip' to Nagano and Gifu. We make "senbei" or "soba." Many people buy souvenirs of local specialty there. For example, "senbei," "dango," "sarubobo" etc.

CT-Masago Exchange Program

  • Four Roton students from CT (Connecticut, USA), accompanied by one teacher and Roton's Principal, visit Masago and stay at Masago students' home. We enjoy various exchange activities altogether!


JUNE

Green School

  • The second year students go to Chibamura in Gunma. We go camping in Chibamura for 3 nights and 4 days. We stay in log cabins and special houses. We go hiking and dance around and have free time.

First-year school Excursion

  • The first-year students go on an excursion. This year they will go to Yokohama.


JULY

The End of the First Term Assembly

  • This day is the last day of the first term. Students receive their report cards at the end of the first term. Our summer vacation is the longest vacation of the year. We look forward to the holidays. We can enjoy doing many things.

Cheer Party for Sports Tournaments in Chiba City

  • We have many sports clubs in our school. We practice after school. Our sports clubs have tournaments on this day. Every club must practice hard. Our badminton, soft ball, table tennis and basket ball clubs are strong and win a lot of prizes! These are the last tournaments for the third year students. They practice hard for the tournaments. When the tournament finishes, third year students must retire from the clubs. They must study hard to be good high school students next year.


AUGUST

Summer Vacation

  • Summer vacation is from July 20th to August 31st. Some of us travel and play sports. We have special days in this time. The vacation time is shorter than in America, but students enjoy themselves.


SEPTEMBER

The Sports Festival

  • All the students are divided into three groups; the 'Red', 'White', and 'Blue'. There are many events such as the 100 meter dash, a relay and the tug-of-war. Will you join us?


OCTOBER

Chorus Contest

  • Every year, all of our classes take part in the chorus contest. It is one of the biggest school events, because we like festivals.
    Third year students practice very hard to sing nice songs to the Second and First students, and teachers. Every one practices hard on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ....everyday. And because of this everyone becomes good friends.
  • The winning class of 3rd year students can participate in a big contest in Chiba City. There is also a prize for the conductor and a prize for the best piano accompanist.


NOVEMBER

End-of-term Examination

  • Our club activities stop for five days before the exams begin. We will do our best.

School Festival

  • Speeches in English and Japanese, School Brass Band concert, and so on.


DECEMBER

The Winter Vacation

  • We have winter holidays for about two weeks. We don't have homework, except for Japanese calligraphy "Shuji". We are happy! The third year students must study and study.

The Closing Ceremony

  • The day we get our "Report Card". Some students are happy, and some are sad. It can't be helped.


JANUARY


We write our favorite words with FUDE, for example, hopes and dreams. We clean our hearts. We call this event "KAKIZOME" in Japan.


FEBRUARY


We have final examinations. The tests are made by our school teachers on six or seven subjects.


MARCH

  • We have our end-of-term examinations at the end of February or the beginning of March.
  • We have our farewell party for the graduates at the beginning of this month. We perform plays and sing songs.

Graduation Ceremony

  • The third year students say good-bye to this school and go each way.
