My firstest record was 5 hour to finish.But I don't want to do again. Basically I need a day to finish for a camera.However I'm busy to take picture,it is little bit hard to make a day for painting. Therefore I need 6 to 8 weeks to finish.

What I do to the camera now is

1 Take off all of the parts from camera which need to be painted.

2 Take off chrome by special remover.

My chrome remover won't give any damage to brass.

4 Clean up the parts.

5 Fix the dent if needed.

6 Paint.

7 Bake

8 Reassemble

The pictures in this page are same camera.

Basic color is Black,Air force gray,Blue Gray,Olive Green,Hummer tone gray and Nikon F2T style black paint.Also it is possible to adjust color as you like.

I always take off chrome on the brass parts. Paint can't stay on the chrome very well.

I use chemical to off the chrome. It is the best way to do.It won't change the design of camera.

My chemical is made for take off chrome or nickel.Both will not give any damage to brass.

I use baking paint for the parts which can bake. I often use 2 part paint for the parts which can't stay in oven.

White paint at engraving will be gone easy if your camera's engravings are not deep. I can't reengrave. I will let you know it is possible or not when I receive your camera.

Now I have three plans for paint.

I do not paint eyelet's and flame at back door.
It is good for the camera which is mint condition or owner doesn't care

about scars.
2 $600US Fix dents or dings then paint on the brass.

I do not paint eyelet's and flame at back door.
It is good for the camera which has dents or dings but has good

leather.
3 $700US Fix dents or dings then paint on the brass and change leather.

This camera was changed to newer plastic leather.

I do paint eyelet's and flame at back door.
It is good for the camera need total service to be mint condition blackrepainted camera.
