Reviews
Watching this work, I suddenly understood the reason why a scientist came close to dance. He is not a dancer but an expressing performer. Body with full of deep thought was walking here. ...However, there is no way even in words to express now... Surprizing change really appeared there... This is worthy of special mention through fifty years history of butoh of myself, since this was the first time that I saw the physical moment.
Nario Gohda, Dance Express, No.4, 1997, Yokohama, Japan.Tadashi Okamura, leader of Atelier Beni, ... He showed a conceptual work which made physical moment that can not be aware of being visible by means of dance. Since then also, he has been struggling for hard problems on butoh and abstraction, for example, changing where time and space are replaced by each other.
Nario Gohda, The performing Art Journal (On Stage Shinbun), No.1283,1998,Tokyo, Japan. In this March I took particular notice to the play of Tadashi Okamura becomeing a freezed man at Art Land in Musashi-Koganei with the axisis being enfolded.
