Opening Speech by Bob Rotoloni-san.
A lecture meeting was held at JCII meeting room.
This place is located in the
JCII Camera Museum.

Worldwide NHS Members
Over 80 people attendance from all over the world gathered in the NHS convention 9.

Start the Meeting
JCII Meeting Room 603.
The attendance from France and Belgium were sitting on the front table.
At 9:30 we were ready to roll!!

|
NIKKOR F Camera
Uli Koch-san, author of the Nikon F Trilogy,
led off with a talk on the German market "NIKKOR" F and its literature.
We can obtain his great book on the
Nikon F Book site.

|
Prototype Story
We then had a one-hour presentation by Kenji Toyoda-san.
Toyoda-san was the main organizer and resercher for the special exhibit
on the Nikon prototypes that we would after lunch in JCII Museum.

Industrial Nikkor
Akiyama talked about the industrial Nikkor lenses.
Rotoloni-san is writing the impression as follows by the Nikon Journal No.83.
Akiyama-san kept us spellbound as he presented some of the strangest
and most exotic Nikkors imaginable....He presented his treasures with humor
and kept us all entertained.

Coffee Break
We then broke for refreshments that were arranged by Suzuki-san.
Coffee, tea, green tea, oolong tea, orange and apple juice,
and cola were prepared in the morning.
Pizza, snacks, beer, whisky, and wine were prepared in the afternoon.
You were able to drink even champagne!

Camera Museum
Today is Monday.
Usually, the JCII Camera Museum is closed in every Monday.
Therefore, the NHS member only was able to enter to the museum this day.

Nikon F NASA Camera
This Nikon F is painted mat black for NASA Apollo project.
Zen black! It's cool!!
|

Nikon SP
This Nikon SP is a camera which Yonosuke Natori of a famous photographer in Japan used.
He was born in 1910, and died in 1962.
He formed a Nippon Kobo (Japan Studio) with Ihei Kimura in 1933.
He started magazine "NIPPON" to public for overseas in 1934.

Nikon S Series
A lot of prototypes have been exhibited.

Marine Housing for Nikon S2/SP
It is a case made from iron like the submarine.
The lens cover glass is engraved with "Underwater Nikon".

White Gloves Show
Mikio Itoh-san of Nikon corporation showed us a special camera.
He is a curator of the
Nikon Digital Archives

Itoh-san showed us 6091 and 6094 with white gloves.

|
Nikon No.6094 !!!
This serial number was, according to the record,
given to the first prototype of "Nikon Camera"
(later it was called "Nikon I").
Twenty prototypes (No.6091 - No.60920) were made in 1947.

NIPPON KOGAKU TOKYO No.6094
This is a super vintage camera in the Nikon world!!
Ito-san said to the member of NHS that this camera is not for sell.
