Opening Speech "Please enjoy your party!" Bob-san is wearing "Happi" coat. "Happi" coat is traditional full dress for the fair of Japan. When the Beatles came to Japan, they got off the landing steps of the airplane putting on "Happi" coat.

A Special VIP Guest A left woman is Ms. Mayumi Moriyama , former Minister of Justice. Moriyama-san is a person who has love most for cameras in the assembly member of the House of Representatives.

Kagamibiraki Ceremony Kagamibiraki, the cask breaking ceremony is done to celebrate important events. Kagamibiraki is explained here and here.

Daikoku-Masamune Beautiful ladies served the sake for us. The sake, "Daikoku-Masamune" is very precious and delicious sake in Japan. Establishment is 1751 !!

Kampai !! Kampai is "Cheers" in Japanese. "Kampai !!" said all members, and then soon started opening.

Gentleman's Nikon Oh, Hans Ploegmakers-san! Did you drink delicious champagne? And then the person who is taking the photograph is Yutaka Ohtsu-san. He is a Nikon enthusiast, too.

Serious Nikon Story

A Nikon Gentleman with a Mustache Tom Kostyk-san from Newyork. He is a display camera collector. He collects the cut away/cut thru model, transparent/see-thru model, dummy model, demonstration displays and prototypes.

Masu Box on the Table Cool sake in a wooden "masu" box. Masu means a measure. Masu is a traditional tableware of Japan to drink sake. The mark of "NHS 9TH. CONVENTION" is burnt in the masu box.

New Nikon on the Table There is a new Nikon camera on the table.

Omiyage We got a wonderful Omiyage(small gift) from the NHS host. The Nikon Sake, Masu(wooden box), Nikon F5 neck strap and Coolpix strap. The sake of the label of NHS is the most superior sake in Japan. It is very valuable and delicious sake in Japan. Do not sell it in the e-bay!!
