Windows2000/WindowsXP でも HPFS が見られる！！

Windows2000/WindowsXP can see HPFS partition!! (English is here) (Korean New!!)

なんとWindows2000/WindowsXPでもHPFSが見られるんです！

名も無き人がHobbesにアップロードしてくれた(2001/09/16)ドライバのおかげです！

現在ではなぜかHobbesから消されていますので、しゃあないのでこのページにあげときます。

やり方

1. 以下のファイルをダウンロードしてください
   hpfs_w2k.zip, hpfsnt.zip
2. それぞれ解凍します
3. まず hpfsnt の方をインストールします
4. 再起動の前に、以下のファイルを同じフォルダーに置きます
   hpfs_w2k.zip の中にある BUPDATE.EXE,PINBALL.BDF
   [OSのドライブ]:\winnt\system32\drivers\pinball.sys
5. 以下のコマンドで、pinball.sys のファイルにパッチを当てます
   BUPDATE.EXE PINBALL.BDF
6. パッチを当てたものがここにありますので(3分間クッキングのノリで)、これとRS.DLLを以下の場所にコピーします
   [OSのドライブ]:\winnt\system32\drivers\
7. OSを再起動します
8. 見事！使用できるようになっています

付記

ドライバがINT13をサポートしないので、8.3GB以上のディスクスペースにまたがるHPFSパーティションは見ることができないようです。そもそもこのドライバー(pinball.sys)が作られたのは、WindowsNT3.51の時代なのですから！

How to make it (instruction)

1. Download following files
   hpfs_w2k.zip, hpfsnt.zip
2. Decode these files
3. First, install hpftnt.zip
4. Put following files on same directory before rebooting
   BUPDATE.EXE,PINBALL.BDF (in hpfs_w2k.zip)
   [OS drive]:\winnt\system32\drivers\pinball.sys
5. Patch pinball.sys by this command
   BUPDATE.EXE PINBALL.BDF
6. Patched file is here, put this file and RS.DLL on following directory
   [OS drive]:\winnt\system32\drivers\
7. Reboot OS
8. Have fun!

Additions

This driver doesn't support int13 functions, so we cannot see HPFS pertions beyond the 8.3GB boundary. Because this driver (pinball.sys) was made in WindowsNT 3.51 era!
