「肖像画」のモデルについて

当館で展示されている猫たちは国外も含めた大勢の方々のご協力を得て、彼等が撮影した写真に基づいて描かれています。

写真にはその撮影者の対象（猫）への想い入れ、愛情などがモデルの愛らしさ、寂しさ、猛々しさなどに重ねられて独特の”何か”を秘めた情感のある世界が構成されています。

私の作業は私が感じ取った写真の中の”何か”をイラストボードの上に表現する事で、”写真そのまま”を再現する事ではありません。

愛猫家の方にとって”我が家の猫”に勝る猫はいないでしょうし、外猫の写真を撮影しておられる方にすれば、その対象とした猫への愛着は他の猫に勝ると思います。

ここに展示したのは、そうした中からモデルの猫達の抜きん出た個性、可憐さ、侘しさなどが捕らえられていると感じた写真をわたしの独断と偏見？で選ばせて戴いて描いたものです。

ネット上で魅力的な猫の写真を発見した時には当館の”肖像画”のモデルとして使用することをお願いするかもしれません。その節には上述の趣旨をご理解いただいて、ご承諾を得たいと願っております。

なお、当館へ直接写真(画像）を送付頂いた場合、全ての写真が”肖像画”に適するという訳ではなく、ご希望に添えない場合も多々ありますことを予めご了承下さい。

"Models" of this gallery:

Portraits　exhibited here were painted from photographs of attractive cats, taken by me and others, from Japan and abroad. Efforts were made, in drawing, to capture loveliness, sweetness and liveliness of cats, as well the emotions and affections of their owners, that are not often captured by photographs. The painter's sole desire is to share charms of models with everyone who visits my site.

When I find attractive models in websites, I may ask the permission of the owners to paint them.

Sometimes, I receive photos of cats requesting paint of them but, I may not find some photos of cats sent to me suitable for my purposes and, as a result, I must find it necessary to decline the request to paint, which please understand.
