Thank you for visiting Chihiro's website. Chihiro is Japanese Artist.
Chihiro graduated from Tama Art University with a major in Japanese painting
(Nihon-ga).
Art theme is happiness and a peaceful world which coexisting with nature.
I search after relation between creature and human. For that purpose, I
collect material that is an old tale, a legend, a local custom, a family
tradition and so on at a site where is a living them.
Also I sketch around there without a camera.
When I have to know under the sea for my art work, I go scuba diving to
sketch there the same method as I do the ground.(Under water sketch)
Then I come back to my studio, reconstruct the position on my artworks.
Nature and these sketches inspire me to artworks.
I believe that
these works indicate to us how to live with nature.
Thought the
artwork, I hope all over the world will be brimming with love, happiness and
peace.

Postscript:
From ancient, Japanese was in use 'monyou' that is symbol of some creatures
or plants.
They painted on their things with prayer and wish. |

For example a lotus flower means represents creation and strength.
The lotus grows under the water in muddy swamps and rises to the surface
as a really beautiful flower.
It's not only Japan but also another country. I think they are wisdom for
life. I would like to be important in my artwork. |

多摩美術大学絵画科日本画専攻卒業。
自然と共に暮らし、自然への畏敬の念を持つ人たちが語る物語をテーマに制作。
各土地の取材にはカメラを使わず、その土地に根付く「昔話」を中心に土地への「想い」などの聞き取りをしながら、「人と人」「自然と人」の関わり方を風景と重ね合わせスケッチしていく。
水中が必要な場合は、スクーバダイビングをしながら水中スケッチもする。
作品制作は、これらの取材より「自然や人々が元々持っている魂」や「語り継がれてきたモノ」などを構成し直し、表現している。 |
