Attolini is famous Neapolitan hand-made ready to wear. The company started
in 1930's and scaled up by adopting hand-sewn skills from Neapolitan sartoria.
Many part of suit-jacket is made by artisan's hands with needles, thread,
thimbles or scissors.Then the suit-trousers are also made elaborately.The
suit in this picture is old model. Material is Super 120's wool in fresco.
The arm holes are set like shirt sleeve so called " manica camicia"
in Italian word. The breast pocket looks boat-shaped called "Barca"
and this is also traditional Neapolitan sartorial tecnique. The sleeve-cuff
buttons are somteimes closed but I asked not to close them.
Attolini is of course ready-made clothing. However, its taste is similar
to tailor-made clothing and the price is often higher than custom suits. |
