The Japan Society for Low Temperature Medicine organizes a joint World conference of
“Cryomedicine Update 2006”in collaboration with IIR and ISC, inviting cryopreservationists, cryosurgeons, cryoimmunologists and related scientists of various disciplines, members and non-members interested in all fields of cryomedicine. It will review the present state of the knowledge in developments and applications of low temperature in the medicine.

The official conference language is English.

Deadline for Abstract submissions: September 30, 2009.

E-mail should be used to send your abstract in English (less than 200 words inclusive of title, authors, institutions, telephone & Fax number, text as follows) to the secretariat.

The scientific program will be organized by the following commissions:

1. Cryobiology and cryotechnology	12. Cryoimmunology
2. Tissue bank:	13. Cryotherapy in sport medicine
1) Heart valve, vessels, and trachea	14. Cryopreservation of gametes and embryo
2) Bone, cartridge, and skin	15. Cryopreservation of human genetic resorses

3. Preservation of the heart
4. Blood cells and blood products
5. Stem cells of bone marrow, peripheral and cord blood
6. Blood transfusion, and chelaiton therapy
7. Autotransfusion
8. Liver preservation and transplantation
9. Preservation and transplantation of pancreas, islet and intestine
10. Preservation and transplantation of kidney
11. Cryousurgery in the fields of heart, vessel, lung, liver, skin, kidney, and others
