] (December
11, 2001)
Mr.
Heisaburo Tezuka,
Advisor to the Forest Policy Research Institute, Japan, former Assistant
Director General of the Forestry Agency asked me to post his view on
the U.S. Forest Service on this website.
The author observed the recent history of National Forest as an American
phenomenon in which forestry technologies were ignored under the name
of environment and expressed his sincere hope that the leading role
of forest technologies will be reestablished based on the balance of
environmental and economic policies. Here
is the full story.
