Ryo's Message
Are we facing an unlucky age when we are not going to be able to catch up with
drastic changes in society? Is it possible that we live today doing each other's
hearts good?: Is the problem only related to our hearts? These questions are
big and important not only for children but also for all adults including ourselves.
I think I saw hope in the eyes of the children on TV the other day, those who
participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics held in Nagano.
They sang "When the Children Rule the Country" then, and I did hope that as
many children as possible would maintain "the boy's spirit" and "the girl's spirit"
as well as as many adults as possible would restore those spirits.
For that purpose, we need to make every effort step by step trying to find what
we can do in our everyday lives.

If you can, please send some haiku verses with illustrations your children
made. When you send images to us, I'd like you to use JPEG and the size
of 30-40K.
