Guitar clinics in greece / Jan. 23, 2009 from the official board ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sorry you'all, I have been swamped with Namm and some WS stuff this last
week.
Yes Im planning on doing a handful of kinda Guitar Classes. Its instruction though. Its not a concert or a jam or gig. I figured it would be fun to do some teaching while I have a couple free weeks. They are still playing with a few of the dates, but the ones they are advertising are probably correct. Hope to see some of you on this mini trip! Best, D Hey Doug, Hows NAMM going? / Jan. 18, 2009 from the official board ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hiya Dan, Namm was cool. I only went on Thursday and half day Friday. It was pretty busy so I only had a chance to say hi to the companies that have been helping me. I did see Mark but I dont think he had a booth.,.. could be wrong though. Namm is generally very crazy so its hard to see stuff which is why i go on thursday and fridays. Marshalls new MGss amp is really cool. Its a lower range amp for guys on a budget or newer guitarists. Really whish they had that in 1974. John Suhr has a new blues amp that is incredable. And I played some of his new pedals that were great. I went to Dunlop, Zamaitis, Fender, Gibson, Diamond, Engl, Tonepros, Moolon, Performance Guitar, and TC electronics. And maybe a few others. Gibson has a new Mike Bloomfield guitar that was cool. Anyway, i saw a few friends including Timothy, Micky Dee and Uli John, but I left Namm before most of the people I knew arrived. Hope you get to check it out sometime man. See ya bro, Doug

Happy Easter / March 23, 2008 from the official board
Hey you all, just wanted to say hope you had a great Easter weekend. This year is already flying by.... Well, we had our first gig last night and it was great! DC sang his ass off like he has been on the road for months. He is really up for it! Went down and saw a bit of Kiss and Alice Cooper on Sat. Its been so long since I played live, I just wanted to get in the mood. It was a really well done event and the show was amazing. Last night was Poison, WS and Ozzy. Got to see a bunch of friends this weekend so that was cool. I was able to hear Poison and they sounded really great. After we played, I had some time to catch up with Zakk and then watched some of Ozzy. It was so cool to see...I havent seen Zakk play live for a long time and he was awsome! Ozzy did great too...really fun to hear those tunes. Well, hope you all had a good Easter! Ill be checking in a bit more once we get in Australia. Take it easy, Doug |

Hi there. |
|
Hi everyone, I wanted to clear up some confusion about a future Burning Rain Japanese release date that was posted on the HMV and Tower Records sites. There is no current release date for Burning Rain. This release info was a mistake. We also have not made any formal agreement with a Japanese label. BR has a lot of new songs that have been in the works for some time, but time will be needed to finish them. I very much hope that at some time in the near future we will have a new record recorded and I will let you know as soon as to any release updates as soon as anything is set. At the moment, my attention is needed to tour and promote the long waited Whitesnake "Good To Be Bad" record which is to be released in Japan soon. I'm very excited about this record and I hope you will enjoy it! Thanks and sorry for the confusion. |
| Doug Aldrich.com is updated now. "Hey everyone, cant wait for you to hear the new record and looking forward to seeing you on tour this year! Im in the process of preparing now for the tour and a few other thing too. I need to get my live rig fired up and have some new stuff to add to it. I'll get some updates going on the gear page as soon as I get it all sorted. See you all soon and best regards, Doug" ※Burning Rainの新譜情報について HMV Japanと@TOWER.JPにて新譜の情報が掲載されていましたが、新譜は未だ完成しておりませんので、 発売は未定です。Whitesnakeのツアーが始まる前に新譜の作業を終わらせたいと聞いてましたが、これからツアーのことで忙しくなるそうなので、新曲が聞けるのはまだまだ先になりそうです。 |

| Frontiers Records proudly announce the release of Marco Mendoza's solo album Live For Tomorrow on July 6. Marco is one of the most respected and well known musicians in the Los Angeles music scene. According to Ted Nugent, "Marco is the world's greatest bass player and he's got the soul". He also played with the likes of Thin Lizzy (with whom he's been recently touring UK and going to appear live during the summer), Whitesnake, Blue Murder, Ozzy Osbourne and The Cranberries. Though most often recognized for his jaw-dropping 6-string fretless bass chops, Marco is a master of the 4, 5 and 6-string fretted bass, too. But that's not enough. In Live For Tomorrow, his debut solo album, Marco shows his hidden vocal talent, which just needs to be heard to be believed! Mixing different vocals styles from the bluesy David Coverdale and Paul Rodgers ranges to the Eric Martin-esque overtones, Mendoza shines as a singer that is able to deliver a passionate and strong performance in every song. ![]() Live For Tomorrow was mostly written and produced by Marco during the second half of 2006 and the beginning of 2007, together with former Poison and Mr. Big guitarist Richie Kotzen, who also produced the album. Musically the record offers a sincere and down to earth sound, reminiscing of classic Hard Rock (with hints to AC/DC, Mr Big, Damn Yankees etc.) with Blues and Melodic Rock roots. Some very special guests appear to tribute the talent of this amazing guy. Among them Ted Nugent, Doug Aldrich (of Whitesnake) and Steve Lukather of Toto all offer guitar solos appearances, Tommy Aldridge of Whitesnake and Brian Tichy (Pride & Glory, Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Billy Idol) play drums while Richie Kotzen of course handles the bulk of guitars and duets on vocals with Marco on I Want You. Sit back, light a cigar, relax, put the stereo on and enjoy the ride that this musical master can offer! Live For Tomorrow will be released on July 6 in Europe on Frontiers Records with US release on Locomotive and Japanese release on King. |

Just want to say hi to everyone. I have been just keeping a low profile lately and focused on songs in my head, so I havent been online as much as I want, but I wanted to say hi real quick. I hope we can catch up soon. And also hope you all have been doin well and that its starting to get good weather where you are. Take it easy and best wishes, Doug |
| Re: New CD update / Feb. 14 2007 from the official board
Hey Cindy and everyone.....all I can say is I am REALLY happy with everything so far! We are in major writing/creative mode. Weve been holed up in various studios working through all the material and its huge. We have still a lot more work to do, but its for sure that we have an amazing record coming. Within a full record, there is room for much more diversity and depth. I think fans of every era of WS will be happy with it. Rob, I will be using a bunch of my Marshalls and others as well as the VM. They are all good for various textures and tones for different songs. DC is the executive on this, and the good thing is we will actually be in town when it gets mixed! On the live record we were on the road for most of it. If the demos are any indication, its gonna stand up big time. Take care yall, and thanks much for all your support. Best, Doug Sorry I havent been around much Just want to say hi to everyone. I have been just keeping a low profile lately and focused on songs in my head, so I havent been online as much as I want, but I wanted to say hi real quick. I hope we can catch up soon.
