Use optic fiber to connect
my N700 and Prism

台湾から素敵なKAIZOレポートが届いたのでご紹介しよう。
MD用の光デジタルケーブルを使って、２台のPDA間で安定した
赤外線通信をさせるためのグッズの自作だ。

Pal ｍとNIKKIA携帯電話（赤外線モデム内蔵）を
光ファイバーでつなぐアイデアは「Palm de 赤い糸電話」として
紹介した事があるが、おそらくPalm機同士をファイバーでつなぐアイデアは
初めての紹介となる。そのファイバーの素材も、
どこでも手に入るMD用の市販の光デジタルケーブルを使っている所も
ポイントが高い。そして、端部のPalmへの密着性を安定させるのに
医療用のラバーを使って、穴を開けてそこにファイバーの先端を
突っ込むだけ！という簡単さも評価できる。

このようなグッズを懐に忍ばせておけば、大混雑のオフ怪などでも
これをススッと取り出して、目指す相手と確実に
名刺交換できるではないか！いーねー。

and also found to rubber cap.
It is from a dropper in a medical equipment store.
I don't have cut out the fiber, I just have to drill a hole
on the top of the rubber cap and insert the fiber like the photo did.

I make a hole on the top of rubber cap and get the optic fiber through it,
the rubber cap can decrease the interference from outside world
and can be attached to the IR.

Since I'm using the rubber cap, it will attach to the surface to

IR perfectly, but not stable enough if you pull it too hard.
