There're so many bootlegs of the Velvet Underground.However,most of all does not maintain any value nowadays.
Because main unreleased tracks have been issued officially one after another in recent years.
We've already got many legendary tracks,many greats and many awfuls,from "Another View","VU",
"What Goes On","Peel Slowly and See"and"Loaded(Fully Loaded Edition)".
Who could have anticipated it? Could VU have been such a business expert? It's amazing.
But I should be pleased with the matter rather than amazed.
Anyway,in such state of things,it's too hard to pick up the one you really need from the sea of dead boots.
Especially,in case of VU,they have often made up as a potpourri from many sources.It's so complex.
This page will help you to do this difficult acts.It has some good points as following.
1.You'll find out the disk you should pick up,when you want to listen to some version.
2.It includes comments for versions and disks.(under construction)
3.You'll find out the disk that maintains value still however.
4.You'll read nonsense behavior of bootlegger.In a sence, you'll have a grief for the Mania.
And yet,this page doesn't deal in Post-Reed Era,Reunion also.

Track-titles that belong to these era are written in lower case.

The way of searching the boot
Please select the type of index on tool bar,"by LIVE SETS"or"by TUNE TITLE".
And then,once you click it,you'll get the index on the left screen.
On the right of tune-titles in the index,there're numbers dealed with the serial number on the right screen.
When you click the number you interest in,details of the boot will come up.
If you want to see the cover,please click COVER.
Symbols
*V>means alternate versions & alternate takes.
*M>means alternate mixes.(always means rough mixes)And I ignored alternate mixes in officials,
like "original mono","closet mix",etc 'cause it's endless.
Both of them were in comparisoned with original album versions.
In this case,I regarded "VU"and"Another View" as original album for convenience.
Green indications
Green indications are on remarkable ones.
On the left screen,green on the number that has the better quality of sound than others including same version,and on titles unreleased in official.
On the right,green on the title of the disk maintains value still however.
They're little.I think they won't increase but decrease in future.
Anyhow,I hope that all unreleased tracks will be issued officially in a package to drive all the boots away,just like rival Zappa.
