TOKYO WINE SOCIETY TASTING

Beaujolais (Non- Nouveau)

November 9, 2007

The place held:
the Restaurant Cuisine 219,
Southern Castle Building B1
2-19-3 Minami-Aoyama
Minato-ku, Tokyo

We tasted the real Beaujolais. While Nouveau is much publicized and Beaujolais name has been overwhelmed by Nouveau, excellent real red wines are available from Beaujolais, located next to Maconnais (a Burgundy region). We found Beaujolais wine made from Gamay are truly excellent in comparison with wines from other regions.
