Church Description and Mission Statement
In an atmosphere of warm, friendliness, Sunrise Church offers a unique bilingual, bicultural ministry to English and Japanese-speaking people in the greater Los Angeles area. Beginning in 1993, the church has served the spiritual needs of the community with a Spirit-filled, Biblical based message centered on the teaching and saving work of Jesus Christ.
Services
In its amiable atmosphere, Sunrise Church provides you with two Spirit-filled services on Sunday and one mid-week service Thursday evenings.
The Sunday services consist of a 10:45 morning service and a 7:00 evening service. The morning service will take you off with a joyful time of praising and worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ. Following the praise is the pastor's sermon of inspiring and Biblically sound teaching either lead by Rev. Spring Iwata or Rev. Paul Iwata. Our edifying time together continues with a potluck and fellowship.
The evening service is a gathering where Biblical teachings are more intimate and personally applied to the individual. Lead by Rev. Paul Iwata, one will further understand the insights of the scripture's law. Studying both the Old and New Testaments, one can learn how to personally apply the scriptures for their personal growth.
The Thursday evening services are held at 7:00 p.m. Starting off with wonderful praise and worship, this mid-week gathering is a time for one to recap their spiritual walk with the Lord. In a lighthearted, comfortable surrounding, one will further learn the foundations of the Biblical Word and the spiritual gifts provided by God.
Every 5th Sunday there is a special Healing Service at 1:00 p.m. This time of healing prayer and deliverance is lead by Pastor Spring Iwata. The gathering is characterized through the strength of God's power in agreement and faith of individual healing and deliverance.
