Japanese Culture and Language Instruction
Japan born and educated, the instructor is a professional, bilingual teacher with training also at Portland State University in Oregon. She is currently the Japanese Language, culture, and cooking instructor at Learning Tree University in Chatsworth, California. The first level of study covers the writing system and pronunciation for those with little or no background in the language. Basic expressions and essential vocabulary for the Japan tourist are part of the first level.
Japanese Koto Instrument Lessons
Pastor the instructor has certifications in the Urasenke School of Tea and in the Ikuta School of Koto. She has conducted demonstrations in this Japanese art form at public schools in Portland, Oregon and in Los Angeles as as local restaurants and community organizations throughout Southern California.
