About 1mm in diameter. One female Bombyx moth bear 100-500
eggs.

Bombyx feeds on mulberry leaves. They are sproutiong last ten
days of April. Bombyx Eggs will soon be taken out of refregirator,
and season of feeding will be coming.

It has been rather cool weather this spring, eggs are moved
to room tempreture on May 14 (about ten days later than usual).
Eggs are placed on plastic case with water saturated tissue paper
on a bottle cap to prevent from drayness.
After 7 to 10 days, first instar larvae of silkworm will hatch
out. I will report this as soon as possible.

On the morning of May 25, 1st wave of Bombyx larvae hatching
occur. It takes more than 10days to hatch larvae because it has
been rather cool.
Newly hatched larva is about 2.5mm. It is called "kego".
It means "hairy worm". "Kego" are covered
with black fine short hair and looks black.
Young larvae are fed on cut mulberry leaves. One day after hatching,
fed larvae become 4mm and brownish gray (in red frame).
