Kosuke Takano

Kosuke Takano was born in 1964 in Hyogo, Japan.
He graduated from Doshisha University with BSC in engineering.
His interest in photography was kindled through mountain climbing,
which he was actively involved in as a member of the alpine club at the university.
The first successful ascent of Mt. kant(7055m) in Tibet in 1988 brought him an unparalleled inspiring experience
as well as a golden opportunity of shooting the mountains.
He was subsequently registered as a tour leader of overseas trekking tours,
thus accumulating further experience in mountaineering.

After graduating from the university, Kosuke first worked for a commercial photo studio in Osaka.
He opened his private studio in 1990, and started editorial and advertising photography.
His mountain photos and editorial photography receive wide recognition for the high standard of quality.
He has been shooting for outdoor magazines as well as taking many advertising photos for other companies.

Kosuke is a dynamic, enthusiastic, accomplished photographer with devotion and commitment.

Present residence in Kyoto.
He is a member of Japan Advertising Photographers' Association (APA).
