　Hi there, my name is Naomi !　　

　　　I draw and paint in ink, pens, colored pancils, oils and waters.

I was born in Surry, England in 1973. My parents so named me Naomi, that could be called in Japan and England both. When I was 3, parents took me back to Tokyo,their home town, and I couldn't speak any Japanese at that time. For 6 months until I really understood speaking Japanese, I quit talking anything and started drawing on the wall, floors, everywhere instead, and my mother let me do that, she said. After this, I forgot all English words and started speaking Japanese only....still loved drawing, though. I've studied oil painting at the art university in Tokyo, but I quit.I knew that wasn't great but I wanted to get out of my classroom. After this, I worked a lot and traveled a lot, also sketched a lot! I always carried my sketchbooks for traveling. I especially loved to stay at small villages during my travel. Since I was brought up in the city, maybe I loved to know about village lifestyle. 　Now,exept when I go selling my art works to Tokyo (or when I work on those stuff) , I mostly spent time in the Japanese organic cotton farm in Chiba.
