ARTISTIC POLICY
|
|
The basis of our performance and creation of our acts are applied through the Method, (which incorporates the Japanese traditional performing arts, such as Kabuki and Noh) and into our daily training for vocalization and physical conditioning. We pursuit in uniqueness of theatrical performance and its performing effects, with a collaboration of the ancient Japanese physique and of the contemporary dance, indifferent from screen images such as TV and movie.- "Imagination Literature of Theatricalism." Our performance is mainly of the world tragedies, extensively from Greek tragedy, traditional Japanese play, and to Existence of Modernity play. We express strongly and acutely of the universal problems all mankind has faced, such as war, society, religion and race.

Artistic Director Profile:
In charge of "Dainanagekijo" and an Artistic Director.
Born in 1979, Hokkaido, Japan. Residence in Tokyo.
Diploma from Waseda University, First Literature Department.
Degree in Theatrical Images. In college, learned not only the Japanese theatrical performances but from world classics to modern dramas and while in school, established a theatrical company. Studied under Artistic Director of SCOT: Tadashi Suzuki. Learned the world famous Method, and brought this into basic training of the company.

Using the classical and modern dramas as a text and proposing a solution to the modern society's problems. Performance has received high appraisal for the acuity of the social problems and for the aesthetic compositions.
Also, have campaigned for improvement and researched different aspects of theatrical performances. Other activities include workshops for actors, workshops for high school and elementary school students, special lectures at universities, and instructional fostering.

Other activities as a Director
* 2004 - Theatrical participation in "The 11th BeSeTo Theater Festival," Japan, China and South Korea, international theater festival, joined the Tokyo Operating Committee.
Same year, was selected for fostering of young producers, and went to Moscow for training.
* 2005 - Became "The Millenary Theater," executive committee.
* 2007 - Theatrical participation in "The 11th BeSeTo Theater Festival," joined the Tokyo Operating Committee.
