Evaluation of Digital Halftoning Techniques for Computer Generated Holograms

Novel computer generated holograms based on the digital halftoning technique are proposed. The influence of four different halftoning patterns on a reconstructed image is numerically and experimentally investigated. We used the phase-optimization technique to eliminate the influence of speckle patterns and quantization errors.
