I asked Damian to do a short interview when we asked him to get his autograph on Otis CD
P: Tell me where Alvy Ronson came from ?
D: Because I'm a big fan of Woody Alen and there was a character called Alvy Singer, whose name I love for Annie Hall. That is a great name, Alvy, and I wanted to have a stage name and Alvy was where I started and also I loved a journalist John Ronson, I thought he was great and I thought that name combined those name with the fact that Ronson is also a cigarette lighter. And the phrase of "up your Ronson" I find quite funny. I just like the name Alvy Ronson. I started with it about ten years ago, a long time before we did Otis.That was it, that's why I wanted to become Alvy Ronson.

D: Shall I sign it in here ? ( I wanted his autograph on "How do I do it" CD )
D: I'm glad you can buy this in shops now. I didn't realise.
F: Only at HMV.
D: Only at HMV ? Right.
F: We tried and there are only two CDs left.
D: Only two left ? Bet there was only two there in the first place, wasn't there ? At least they've made it here. Are they not selling them in the Assembly Rooms?
F: No, no, no.
D: It didn't surprise me. I'd be done to Rich to sort it out and he will get sort it out.

D: Is this interview for something in particuler or is it for you ?
P: For me ?
D: The interview.
P: Interviews. Yeah, actually I've done an interview with Christian just now.
D: Oh, he was just come down to the show.
P: But I forget to ask him to autograph here.
D: Do you want me to get him to come and do it now ?
P: oh, yes ! but I'm sorry...
D: No. no. To be honest I think he just gone into his show.
P: You have to be ready soon.
D: No, they are running late today.

D: Yeah, if I ring him, he probably won't answer 'cause he won't be able to talk.... but if he gets a text message, at least he can sneak out the door. I don't know what he up to.
 
 D: So feel free to ask me any more questions.
P: What is your plan after this . Edinburgh ?
D: When I finish here, I'm going back to write some music for a dance show. And ...
P: What kind of dance show ?
D: I don't know yet, I've only just got the job last week, so I'm gonna find out when I get back, a little bit more about the project. It's a guy a choreographer. I used to work with about seven or eight years ago. And.< telephene >.is that Christian ? oh, It's Aly.
Hi, Aly. Aly ? I'm just in front of the "TV".I'll be with you in about five minutes...Right.... yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna meet you there within five minutes. All right... Oh, I don't know. If you.... no, I'm in the middle of doing something. No, I'm about 10 yards from you, you can come and watch me if you want. All right... haha, That's it....I'm not..., do you think I'd answer the phone if I was doing that. O.K, O.K, I'll see you in a bit, bye.
D: Yes, I'm doing the dance show.  Picture ?
P: No, interview.
D: Yeah. interview. You can keep going, you can do the interview. while we have a picture can't we ?
P: It hasn't been powered up..
D: SO anyway. I should be doing the dance show with this guy, I know the guy, it'll be very eclectic. He's very eclectic musically.I think he'll want me to do Rock, Jazz, a wiered sort of noises ..and kind of stuff. So it's difficult to tell what he wants. It will be very eclectic.
P: Will that be on West end or something ?
D: Oh, Do you know what ? I don't even know whare it's on. He's offered me the money. He, here this much money and if I can do in September. So I said, "Fine, I can do it in September." It might tour the country or it might go to the West End, I don't know. So I'll have to wait and see.

D: After that, I don't know. I'm goling to try and get Novalounge doin' some gigs. At some points in September, October, We just wait for the CD to come through, the Novalounge CD that we recorded, it hasn't been finished mixing yet, so as soon as that comes we can start getting some more gigs.
P:So you will finish the Novalounge CD ?
D:A friend of mine called Mark, who I work with in sound engineering, we recorded in at his studio in Bath. And we left it with him to finish off just in the ...... and he hasn't finished it yet. He may have finished it by now. But I've got yo give him an address to send it to, because we are finishing up in Edinburgh. It seemed a bit pointless him sending it up here. So I'll get him to send it to me in London. That's what I am doing and then I don't know what else I'm going to be doing this year. I'll have to wait and see. I'm going to do as many gigs I can get some more work. I've got a feature film to write some music for. I don't know when that's gonna happen.It might not happen till next year. Attempting to have a few project in the pipeline..
