@ British English Teachers ( of Shane English School )of Phobos

Lia

Lia was the first teacher I met. She came from Newcastle, so she was a specialist in northern accents. She had a strong Geordie accent, but I didn't pick it up!
( SHe was my teacher Nov 2000 - Mar 2001 )

Peter

I was forced to change the day of my lesson and my teacher changed from Lia to Peter.
I think that Peter had generic knowledge about most modern British Comedy and films. He usually knew the answers to my questions. He said he was born somewhere in the west of England and that he had moved a lot, so he had no particuler accent. He is a charming person.
He left my English school in September 2001. ( He was my teacher Apr 2001 - Sep 2001 )

James
James was my part time teacher. I liked to take his lessons whenever I could not attend my regular day. He loves the league of gentlemen, maybe that's the reason why. He came from ... hmmm Birmingham ? He said he had an accent but I didn't have any difficulty when I was listenning to him.

Alison

When Peter left the school, Alison became my temporary teacher. We got together very quickly because her favourite comedians were ,surprisingly, Reeves & Mortimer. The only difference was she prefered Bob. She never agreed with me about Vic being much much more attractive than Bob.

Matthew

Matt took over from Alison when she left the school for maternity. He is a handsome young gentleman who has a Japanese girlfriend. He spent sometime in New Zealand, which is where he met her.
He doesn't look very much the outdoor type, but his hobbies are hiking and rock climing. Although he's only been in Japan for half year, having a good private guide, he's already visited many places, such as Kamakura, Nikko, Mitake-san and Mt. Fuji.

Matthew

He comes from Rutland, a small rural county in England. It is close to Leicestershire in the Midlands. He speaks in a neutral accent and has been very helpfull in making my poor English writing better!
Because he was very good teacher, he was transferred to Kobe branch. I hope he's enjoyinig the city.
( He was my teacher since April 2002 - December 2002 )

Fergus

Fergas was my temporary teacher after Matthew left. I believe Fergus is now teaching in somewhere else. He is cheeful person so the lessons with him was enjoyable. He likes comedies, and he likes many comedians I know, Vic Reeves, the League of Gentlemen, Mark Lamarr, Red Dwarf... He was even reading Red Dwarf book when I met him for the first time.
He is from Liverpool, but his accent doesn't show it. He once lived in Japan and returned U.K. for a while. He said he's stayed at Cathedral Road in Cardiff for a short time, where was not far from the place I lived. This probably removed his Scouse.

Fergus

 ( He was my teacher since Jan 2003 - Feb 2002 )

Elaine

I met her when I took a temporary lesson. She is another very cheerful person. I've heard she enjoyed the lesson with me because what I want is relating to British comedies. Fergas also recommended her for my permanent teacher. I thought it's good idea and I changed the day of lessons from Wedneseday to Saturday. She is active lovely young woman, has charming smile.

She is from Glasgow so she shows a lovely Scottish accent sometimes. It's not strong though.

Eraine

( She is my teacher since Mar 2002 - Now )

David
I had only one lesson with David. He is a nice gentleman, looks like aged Eric Idle. Yes, I can say he looks like young Eric more than real Eric today. We talked a lot about internet things bacause he utilises the internet for capturing tv programmes. I often see him on Saturday and talked about Jonathan Ross.
He is from the north London, same area as Jonathan came but he doesn't have the pronounciation of Jonathan. I mean he does pronounce "R" is "R" not "W".

Stuart

He is another my temporary teacher. I need to mention one thing about him. He has a common friend with Vic's new wife !!! I asked him to get any information, gossips or anything about Vic.
