"The story of how Azusa's mom and dad first met and married"
Azusa's father, Kazuki, Yotsuga was a cadet of the Galaxy Police. He was posted to Jurai where he was to meet Amame, Masaki who was the daughter of the Masaki family, one of four imperial houses. There was a custom in Jurai that whenever a new officer which were posted to Jurai, it was an event (or more like a trial) that was to be held for him.
The event is quite simple, he must help a lady escape from drunken guys. If he succeeded in it then it meant that he has passed the test. If he fails, he must go back to where ever he came from. It is well known that no normal person could match up to a Jurai warrior but this test was only to find out if the officer had guts. However, not so many have ever passed this trial. Azusa's father, Kazuki too, had to challenge this trial the day he arrived, a small accident happened. He actually met up with some real drunken guys, not the ones who were planned to be.. Fortunately he was able to help the girl, however for himself, he was beaten up pretty badly. Those who were watching just thought it was another trial and no one tried to stop it. though, the person who finally helped him out of it was Azusa's mother, Amame. She also was there to watch the trial with her friends. Noticing that the place where Kazuki was beaten up was different from that she heard, she found out that what was happening was not the trial but an accident. After she easily got rid of the drunken guys, she asked Kazuki,
'Why did you not use your blaster?'
'There were a lot of people around, and I also didn't want to hurt those guys.'
"Ha! Oh, there isn't any one here clumsy enough that would have got shot by you."
'Er, well that is true.'
'Well, after all you have helped out the girl so it seams that you have passed the trial.'
'Thank you.'
'But, I think you need to train yourself a bit more.'
Though being amazed by him, she admitted his will and so Amame began to teach the Jurai martial arts to Kazuki, as an apology for the accident.
Since then, the relationship between Amame and Kazuki started.
When the time came for Kazuki to go back to the post in his own planet, Azusa's mother gave up her place to the imperial house and went with him, and there they got married. A serious problem it may have looked as one of the daughters of the imperial house has run away. but, actually it is quite easy for one of the imperial family to give up his (or her) place and all that he (or she) has to do is to root their imperial tree in to the earth of Jurai. Though, it is not allowed for the generations of that person to come back to Jurai as part of the imperial family unless two of the three other families accept his return. For this, it sounds like Azusa's mother had thought a lot about her decision, which Azusa only guessed, but the fact is that she did worry about her imperial tree at all, or leaving the imperial family.
As one of the Jurai people, who are pirate folks, she was strong, too and got used to the life in the new world. There they had a boy, a boy who was named as Azusa.
A simple life it was, but they were happy.
