'Brother Yoshyo - ! Oh, Yoshyo oni-sama!!'
Crying out, a girl jumped from the window into the room where the son of Azusa, Masaki Yoshyo Jurai lived. The Imperial families lived in the castle built in a whole huge tree called the 'Tenjyu' and as a prince of Jurai, Yoshyo's room was located in a quite high area but the girl never cared about it. The girl was like Sasami, when she was younger, having sky blue hair pointing out like a pineapple taking after her mother. She had leafs all over her clothes and hair which showed how she got through all those branches.
She jumped on her brother who was reading a book in his study.
'I got you! Yoshyo oni-sama!!'
'Aeka, I told you not to come in from the window. If Father knows about this he would be angry about you again.'
Though the accent was strict, Yoshyo grinned for it. By this his scolding didn't mean any sense and indeed Aeka didn't stop laughing.
'But Mother Misaki is doing it often, too.'
'- Oh no,' watching his sister's merry laugh, Yoshyo sighed.
It was true. Despite being as a second mate of the Jurai King and a Mother of Aeka, Misaki was using the Tenjyu's external wall as her walkway. She kept on doing it since she was a child and she didn't stop even after she became a Mother. Innocent and harmless act it may look but for Yoshyo, it was nothing else but a trouble.
The reason of this is that -
'Yoshyo-cha~n. Good mo~rning!!'
Every morning at the same hour, Misaki came along the wall and showed her face through the window of Yoshyo's bedroom and called for him in a humming voice. Yoshyo was already 12 years old and it was nothing but mortification for him waked up by a woman who is elder than he. Especially having his morning style watched. The reason was quite simple, the call of nature as a man was not an exception for Yoshyo, too. However - .
'Good morning, Lady Misaki. You look very cheerful today as usual,' showing a merry smile, Yoshyo replied to her bearing not to show out his grinning. If he didn't do so, she would be disappointed, puff out her cheeks, stick in her cold hand in his blanket and tickle him and take off the blanket.
'Oh no. What if she do so-.' Not to show his front part, Yoshyo kept on waiting till the typhoon passed away.
'… A typhoon is much better. It won't come so often as every morning.'
'… Oni-sama. Hey, Yoshyo oni-sama!!'
'Oh!?' Called by Aeka, Yoshyo turned and apologized to her. 'I'm sorry Aeka. What is it?'
'Tell you what, I heard Mother and Mother Funaho talking to each other.'
'You climbed all the way up to there again?'
It was natural for him to be surprised as their room was at the top of the Tenjyu; several hundred meters higher than Yoshyo's room. Though there was a safety system, she could be injured in any chance.
'What if you will drop down? And also peeking isn't a good manner.'
'But…'
Yoshyo let his finger at Aeka's lips and said to her.
'It would be terrible if you get hurt. And if something happens to you, Utsumi-sama and Seto-sama, Father and Mother would be sore of it, you know.'
'… You too? Oni-sama?' Aeka asked him looking up.
'Yeah, of course.'
'Ok. I won't do it any more,' blushing her cheeks, Aeka said in a small voice.
'Good girl.'
'… You know what,' wanting to say something Aeka turned to Yoshyo again.
'Hm? What is it?'
'You know, I- they say that I'm going to marry you. Mother and Mother Funaho were talking about it.'
'…What!?' to Aeka's words, Yoshyo was surprised. He did imagine of such kind of case but his reaction to the truth was an unexpected one, even to himself.
'Is it true?'
'Ye- Yes…'
It was two weeks later when the fact of the engagement between Yoshyo and Aeka was discussed at the high council of Jurai.
Yoshyo was 12 years old and Aeka was only 4.
