"Shin Tenchi Muyo!" YOSHO

Here is the story following the life of the young Yosho the first prince of Jurai. The story appeals his days in the Galaxy Academy, which he entered before he went after the Devil of Destruction, Ryoko. The life there refreshed him from the tight days in Jurai palace and especially a the meeting with a girl named 'Airi' who changed his life.

Since Yosho Masaki Jurai was been born, he was standing in a difficult position. His mother entered the Jurai Family from a different frontier of planets and became the first mate of the Jurai King. Also having his father be the Jurai King made the situation even more complicated. Once it seemed that the matter was settled when Funaho got her second generation Royal Tree, 'Mizuho (Mizu-Ho)' and for Misaki 'Karin* (Ka-Rin)'. Though half of the members of the Jurai palace were benevolent to her still others took the position of neutral or critical toward her. Of course the percentage of 50 is quite a good number, actually in the past for Queens, it was set at higher level. The problem was that those who were critical to her were relatively in a high rank of Jurai. This especially was shown in the attitude of each Royal family toward Funaho. Among the four families, Amaki family, where Shyuzan was in, he stood as a critical position and in Tatsunoki family was in a neutral position. Under such circumstances, was born as the first prince, it was natural that Yosho was concerned with how to help his mother and make her situation better.

Yosho was always apprehensive of Funaho since he was young and if he found any chance to tried to stay with her as much as he could. He believed that it was the only way to help, protect her in his father's place, who was also busy for his official works. This was one of the reasons why he named his Royal Tree after her.

When he looked 8 years old he went to the trial the ceremony of selecting his tree and actually where he found 'Funaho' was the exact place where his father found his tree, Azusa made an agreement with his tree 'Kirito' several decades ago. 'Funaho' was quite young comparing with the other first generation trees, though, it was the same size as the second generations it might have been, the power it possessed inside itself that was unimaginable and outstripped the other first generation trees. Having a first generation tree means that the person owns an absolute power and as a Jurai person no one was possible to adverse this one. However, for the past several thousand years, few times were the Imperial ships fought in battle and the cognizance of the Jurai people to the absolute difference of power between the generation ranks has faded. On the other hand, political power took the place of it and Shyuzan was the representation of this.

Yosho lived in such world.

One day, Seto came to Yosho's room bringing some Kaki (A common Japanese fruit that his father brought from earth) and asking for a cup of tea. There, she suggested Yosho to enter the Galaxy Academy. It was a sudden and unusual suggestion, however, there was of course a reason for this which was related to his home life. (Yosho and Ayeka)(Yosho and Ayeka(2)). Noticing this, Yosho accepted her advice and decided to enter the Galaxy Academy.

During the stay in the academy, he met a girl whose name was 'Airi'. The life there changed him so much. Living in the palace and trying to protect his mother made him sharp but on the other hand he seldom showed his emotions. But here, by the effort of Airi and others, he bit and bit expressed his feelings outwards.(Yosho and Airi)(Yosho and Airi(2))(Yosho and Airi(3))

One day, several spies attacked Airi. They had advised her before by mail not to meet with Yosho, but she ignored it and they attacked. Her guardian and theirs started to battle. Unfortunately before she was able to set the level of strength for her guardian to the maximum one of the spies reached her and just wanted to threaten her when a voice came from nowhere, it was an unknown guardian and it defeated the spies. This guardian by far over powered them. Actually this voice was of Funaho, the Yosho's imperial ship talking through the ring he once had given to Airi (He made it by himself and gave it to her as a present, guessing that their would be situations). The guardian also was of Funaho so no wonder it had such power considering it was a first generation Royal tree. But Airi didn't know this and she rushed up to Yosho's room and told all about what had happened. She suspect that the ring Yosho gave her was related to all of this so she cross-examined him. Yosho gave up and decided to tell here about Funaho and asked her to meet him at the space harbor that night. (Airi and Funaho)(Airi and Funaho(2)) And Airi told Yopsho about Airai The largest religion in the galaxy.(Airai)

Several months have passed since Airi met Funaho and it was already half a year before when Yosho entered the academy. At that time, Yosho became more mild then before, but not so obvious but at least his keen eyes were sharp enough to have foresee everything and made everyone that feared him soften. These days living with Airi made him know the life of a normal boy.

One day, there was a message from Seto to Yosho. She told him to return to Jurai at once and stay for at least a half of a year there. After that, he may come back to the academy if he wishes. Airi and Yosho were surprised to see this, cause they could not understand what Seto give such orders to him. Seto had guessed that these days in the academy would have been a good experience for him but on the other hand it also would have had made him soft. As a Prince of Jurai such situation is not preferable. For this reason, she suggested that Yosho should stay half of each year in Jurai and half in the academy.
