Genus Neophylax McLachlan
Four named species belonging to this genus have been recorded from Japan.
Larvae of two unnamed species separated with only tentative alphabetic
designation have not been assosiated with their adult stage.

Sakhalin, Kuriles), Korea.
Remarks. Nozaki et al. (2000) suggested that illustrations of female genitalia as this species
by Schmid (1955) are based on a misidentification of another species. Konishi
and Aoyagi (1994) recorded this species from Honshu as a host of a parasite
wasp based on identification of larval cases.
