Subfamily Goerinae Ulmer

Two genera, Goera and Silo, were recorded from Japan, but identification of Silo is very doubtful (Nozaki et al. 2000)

Genus Silo Curtis

A single species, Silo nigricellus Matsumura, is recorded from Hokkaido, but the generic identification is very doubtful (Nozaki et al. 2000).

Remarks. Only the color, size, and morphology of the antenna were provided in the original description by Matsumura (1907), but they are insufficient even for generic identification (Nozaki et al. 2000). The holotype of this species was not found in the collection of Matsumura deposited in Systematic Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Hokkaido University (Nozaki et al. 2000).

Only the genus Larcasia belongs to this subfamily.
