この本はSOSの緊急信号です。この本に詰まった絵や文は子どもたちが、悲しい自分について、自分の住んでいた町や村について、自分の家族や友だちについて描いたものです。これらの作品は、深い悲しみと不幸を感じた心の展覧会であり、全世界の人々にむけた警告のメッセージなのです。

*白血病と甲状腺の病気の子どもたちの親を中心に結成された救援団体。約550人の子どもが会員。イタリア・ドイツ・スウェーデンからも救助をうけている。
この本の絵や文には、チェルノブイリの核に傷つけられた子どもたちの魂の叫びが描かれています。この本を通して、私たちの苦しみが少しでも伝わればと思っています。そして、もうこんな不幸は起こらないことを強く願っています。この本が、そのための助けになればと思います。

* This Ukrainian organization was established to save children suffering from thyroid cancer. The membership is about 350 － children and their families.
This book is an SOS. Pictures and messages in it, which are drawn or written by children, show how their sadness, home towns or villages, and families and friends are like. These works make up an exhibition of minds that feel deep sadness and unhappiness, sending a warning to people around the world.

* This Byelorussian organization was established mainly by parents who had children suffering from leukemia and/or a thyroid disease, with the membership of about 550 children. Financially supported also from Italy, Germany and Sweden.
Pictures and messages in this book show cries of children who were hurt by radioactivity of Chernobyl. We would like to make our pains known to as many people as possible through this book. And we do wish such a tragedy never happen again. It is grateful if this book could deepen people’s understanding of the disaster.
