Asian Scientific and Technical Awards of WASWC
WASWC Asian Network bestows the Asian Scientific and Technical Awards on
an individual in Asia who made a remarkable contribution for research or
implementation of soil and water conservation in Asia. WASWC members are
encouraged to submit the recommendation letter and C.V. including the list
of achievements to the secretariat of WASWC Asian Network in the Institute
of Environment Rehabilitation and Conservation, WASWC host institution,
located in Tokyo, Japan. WASWC Asian Network constituted with Regional
Vice President and Ex-President of WASWC reviews all achievements of the
candidate on the basis of the recommendation letter and C.V.
Criteria
1.The award may be given to Association members or nonmembers.
2.The service and accomplishments of the nominee shall have made major
and widely recognized contributions to soil and water conservation on the
international level.
Nomination Procedure
1.Any individual may make nominations.
2.Nominators should submit the recommendation letter within 1,000 words
and nomineefs C.V. including the list of achievements to the secretariat
of WASWC Asian Network.
3.The secretariat of WASWC Asian Network is in the Institute of Environment
Rehabilitation and Conservation, WASWC host institution, located in Tokyo,
Japan.
Selection
1.WASWC Asian Network constituted with Regional Vice President and Ex-President
of WASWC reviews all achievements of the candidate on the basis of the
recommendation letter and C.V. and resolves whether the achievement of
the candidate is suitable to be awarded or not.
2.The award will be given to more than one individual annually. However,
no award shall be made if a suitable candidate is not nominated or if the
WASWC Asian Network decides the nominees do not fulfill adequately the
criteria for the award.
