- One of the most famous histrical site in Japan. There is
a biggest buddha statue at Toudaiji Temple in this park. A primeval
forest is protected as a spiritual place.
- A lot of forest birds are observed in this park. for example;

- There are a lot of Japanese Deers are protected in this park,
because the deers are recognized as sacred animal by the Sintoism
shrine (Kasuga Shrine).
- The above picture shows the traditional ivent of cutting
antlers in autumn. The first of this event was held more than
thousand years ago. One of the reasons of cutting antlers is
to avoid wounding tourists in their mating season in fall.
- Flying Squirrels are observed in the forest near the shrine
and the temples in the night. In the dusk, you may see they are
flying between trees.
