Welcome to
Fumi's
"Climbing Mt. Fuji, it's interesting and beautiful !"
Mt Fuji (some friends write "Fugi" but it is also OK), the highest
mountain in Japan (3,776m), is not far from my home. As I mentioned, I
have been living close to the seashore in Yokosuka but moved to the mountainous
place in Yamanashi prefecture, west of downtown Tokyo. This place is much
more convenient to go to Mt. Fuji, about one hour drive. When I was young,
16 years old, I climbed this mountain for the first time and I felt interesting.
Then I have been continuing climbing. Most of all I climb alone but sometimes
I used with my family. I also climbed with American friends. One of the
most interesting climbing was with about 100 American friends in Yokosuka.
5 people gave up but others reached to the top, hugged and took pictures
all together. I hope I can continue climbing while I can walk, hopefully
50 times in my life. If you love to climb with me, you are very welcome
and tell me by e-mail!!
