Cherry Blossoms

Sakura means the cherry blossoms. Sakura is very special for Japanese people. Of course we have a lot of plans in Japan. There are other trees that bloom flowers. But Sakura is very special. I think there may be several reasons why Sakura is so special for Japanese people. Well, as one of them, I dare indicate some of them: Sakura flowers have several colors according to the different kind of Sakura species. But the most popular color is light pink, very light as if white. I think this color fits to the Japanese people's favor. Another reason is, Sakura blooms beautiful flowers only "once and very short period" every year. The poets said that Sakura is similar to our life. Therefore the end of Sakura season suggests the end of human life sometimes.

People prefer to go and see Sakura and under the Sakura trees they enjoy eating, drinking, chatting and Karaoke in group. It is called "Ohanami". Anyway, Sakura is so beautiful and the best symbol of spring season in Japan. Don't miss to see Sakura when you visit Japan in early spring.
