Enclosed
a few more MARS observations for what they are worth. My observation of August
21 was my best so far and I do not expect to get any better. A drawing will
follow.
Tom Dobbins (USA) tells me the Dutch have come
up with a software package which selects good CCD images, stacks them and
prints them. The results are stunning so he tells me. It is fortunate that we
should have such technology for this close apparition of Mars.
I have not received
any OAA Mars Bulletin recently (May was the last one) and wonder if you may not
be in good health. I know you had been ill, and sincerely hope things will soon
improve for you.
