  CMO No 260 contains:

1.            CMO 2001 Mars Report #23 deals with the observations made during the period from 16 April 2002 (359Ls) to 15 May 2002 (012Ls) based on the reports from MINAMI, MORITA, and MURAKAMI. Apparent diameter is now under 4 arcsecs, and the report is a final one of the actual observation.

2.          2001 Mars CMO Note (6) is an introduction of our coming analysis concerning the behaviour of the north polar hood that interacts with the dust cloud. Here some foregoing assertions about the nph behaviour and the north polar warming are reviewed.

3.          Letters to the Editor records a number of emails or letters received during the one-month period from 25 April to 24 May 2002. Especially Tom DOBBINS emails communicate his recent interesting consideration on the bi-colour aspect of the Saturnian A ring. Francis OGER tells us how he watched 5 planets in the evening sky from Paris this May.

4.          Ten Years Ago (#81) given by MURAKAMI (in Japanese) reviews CMO #117 published on 25 May 1992: 1990 OAA Mars Section Note (5) in it treated several good images from AKUTSU痴 Mars Observations in 1990.

5.          A Visit to the Antares Institute #19 written by TSUNEMACHI (in Japanese) is an essay about the Chinese calling of the rainy season just ahead.

6.          CMO Editors interviewed Sanenobu Fukui in March and this is a report how he remembered the white flash he witnessed near Solis L in November 1958.
