私の知る限りではこのようなイベントは初めてで，いままで会ったことのない世界中の専門家，愛好家たちに一度に会えるし，様々な情報を交換出来るので貴重な催しです．私の名前もプログラムに入っていますが，何を喋るか具体的にはこれから考えます．
なお，本会合の目的は以下のようなものです．
Purpose:
The aim and objective of this symposium is to bring horticultural professionals and enthusiasts from many geographical locations and of widely divergent interests together in order to further their knowledge of the genus Salvia.
Topics will include:
Salvias in their wild habitats, botanical identification and nomenclature, histories and traditional uses, and all aspects of cultivation: growing, propagation, seed collecting, and winter strategies. Emphasis will be on the diversity of experiences in different climates, with round table discussions as well as more organized talks.
